Jean-Louis Menann-Kouamé is a leading Ivorian financier with more than 25 years of experience leading major banking institutions across Africa. After heading several BNP Paribas Group subsidiaries on the continent, including BICI Guinée, BICIA in Burkina Faso, and BICICI in Côte d'Ivoire, he founded and led the development of Orange Bank Africa for more than six years, the first digital bank in the WAEMU region. He holds degrees from ENCG Agadir in Morocco and ESSEC Paris in France. He was named "Best Manager in Côte d'Ivoire" by the Ivorian Employers' Federation in 2017 and is a laureate of the Choiseul 100 Africa ranking. He founded Velinga Capital in 2026 with a strong conviction: Africa deserves more independent financial advisory firms, rooted on the continent and aligned with international standards, to support the states, companies, and investors shaping its future. He also serves as a board member of several companies and civil society organisations.
